As in every great English country house, The Basil’s 80 bedrooms are individually designed and the long serving staff offer a really personal service. This means that you will always be treated as a favoured houseguest whether on your first visit or, in the case of 40% of our guests, on a return stay.

The English country house tradition of afternoon tea is observed every day in the lounge, where you can also unwind with a pre-dinner drink. In the evenings students from The Royal College of Music play the piano in The Dining Room which adds to the pleasure of eating in “one of the loveliest hotel dining rooms in London”. Roast ribs of beef are served from the trolley for lunch and dinner every day.

CAR PARKING – we have some space at a reasonable charge in a secure garage which can be reserved in advance through the Concierge.
A CHARGE of £20.00 is made for an additional bed in a double bedroom. No extra beds can be placed in single rooms
