The Rookery is located in the fashionable area of Clerkenwell,
between the West End and London’s central business district,
known as The City. It is like Soho in the east, with bustling
street life and a plethora of fascinating places to eat and
drink.
Quietly located a short distance from the Barbican, St Paul’s,
Holborn and The Tate Modern, the only remaining early houses
in St Peter’s Lane have been repaired and extended to create
our delightful small hotel.

Each of our 33 air conditioned bedrooms is different. They
have space to work and relax amongst the antique furnishings.
Even our bathroom fittings are genuine antiques, all lovingly
restored. All the bedrooms are named after people who actually
lived in the buildings at some time during the last 250 years.
Each of our double rooms is furnished with antiques and ornate,
carved 18th Century beds. The windows are dressed with wonderful
silk drapes to add to the drama. The bathrooms have original
Victorian fittings: some feature free standing claw-footed baths
and shower heads the size of dinner plates. All rooms have air-conditioning,
with complimentary wi-fi, flat screen LCD television, mini bar
and safe.
Our Deluxe Rooms are larger and even more luxurious, each furnished
with period furniture. The beds are huge king size four posters
and each room has a cosy sitting area, perfect for relaxing.
The windows and beds are dressed in sumptuous silk drapes. The
bathrooms are amazing, with original antique fittings throughout.
The rooms are air-conditioned, with complimentary wi-fi internet
access, flat screen LCD television, DVD player, sofa, mini-bar
and safe.

Inside, the Rookery is all period charm. Polished
wood panelling, stone flagged floors, open fires and genuine antique
furniture give the place a warm, homely atmosphere - more private
club than hotel.

The Rookery’s three elegant meeting and events rooms are
furnished throughout with fine old paintings and prints and
mellow antiques. The requirements of the 21st Century are met
by state-of-the-art facilities as well as helpful friendly service.
Facilities
For the convenience of our guests, chauffeur driven cars and
sightseeing tours can be booked. Tickets for major tourist attractions
can also be purchased from the hotel. We also offer Bureau de
Change facilities at the hotel.
You may place your breakfast and newspaper orders at Reception,
along with your wake-up calls the night before.
Ironing, laundry, fax and photocopy facilities are also available.
